2010 Warrior problems

I got my 2010 Warrior third-hand, and it's got 20k miles on it already. Unfortunately, the registration is quite old? Last time was in September 2020 but that got me to lower the price so I was quite happy about it. but now not so sure because it's inconvenient lol. Apparently buying something that old and from different owners require you to do a lot of changes. Well now I did an oil change with a new filter and also drained the tank because it smelled like rotten egg. Then changed the battery too. It worked for a bit I was even able to drive it home but now it's dead. I saw Err:1 on the odometer. What's the reason for this? I just need to know what else I can do or if I need to dispose of this already.

The thing is, in buying old cars, you really have to have that budget. It's going to be a long haul of constant maintenance, repairs and replacements. But I gues that's the joy of it, at least from my POV seeing my dad stress himself on a classic SUV. The error could simply be resolved by replacing the odometer since, you know, its old.

Third-hand car, damn prepare to spend a lot. Nice grab on the price but that's gonna come with hidden headaches. Don't have to toss it yet This bike is too good once it's all good.

agree with @USS Callister a third hand 2010 Road Star Warrior with an "Err:1" code and a history like that... you've definitely inherited a project! but don't give up now, here're some common causes for Err:1, maybe can help you:
Faulty TPS itself: Over time, these sensors can wear out or become erratic
Loose/Corroded Connector: The electrical connector going to the TPS can get loose, dirty, or corroded, interrupting the signal.
Wiring Issue: A damaged wire in the TPS circuit
Incorrectly Adjusted TPS: Sometimes, if someone has messed with it, the TPS might be out of calibration
ECU Problem: less common but possible, if the ECU isn't receiving or processing the TPS signal correctly
