tire selection, radial or bias ?

I recently picked up an '09 warrior with just 3500 miles, and it looks like the original bridgestone radials are still on it. I'm curious to know, is there a noticeable difference in performance or handling when switching from radial to bias tires? any insights from riders who have experience or knowledge

oh man, 16 year old tires, you're riding a death trap, replace them before you end up in a wall. the performance difference is noticeable. the radials are superior in every way and again, they're not at the legal driving age. get them replaced and enjoy the warrior to its fullest

You'll absolutely notice a difference when you switch to modern radials or even quality bias-ply!
In general, radials offer better grip, especially in corners, and a more stable ride.
Bias-ply can give a more classic feel but be warned about decreased precision and wet weather performance!
With your bike's weight and power, I suggest you prioritize stability and grip

I vote for radials as well. Sure, they still make biasply tires but they're old tech and I don't think they offer all the benefits of the radial ones

Radials offer better wet grip and smoother ride but bias tires are gonna provide you with more stability at low speeds. But it can actually be less responsive. I wouldn't recommend you to switch to bias. More cons than pros.

Hey, congrats on the Warrior,that's an awesome find. Generally,radials are great because they provide better grip,a smoother ride,and improved cornering. On the other hand,bias-ply tires have stiffer sidewalls,which makes them tougher for carrying heavier loads,but they can be a bit rougher to ride on. I'd recommend sticking with radials for a bike like that unless you have a specific reason to switch
