I've been chasing a lean/ rich air fuel issue on my Yamaha Road Star Warrior since I installed the Cobra Black exhaust.
The bike is a screamer on the road, but I'm getting a significant stumble on takeoff and still have those annoying intake coughs when I blip the throttle.
I finally found some major exhaust leaks on the rear cylinder (and minor ones on the front) by using a bit of compressed air and soapy water. I've got new gaskets on order and I'm hoping that's the main culprit.
I also checked the TPS sensor, and it seems to be within spec, so I'm holding off on replacing it for now. I'm hoping the new gaskets solve the issue, but if not, I'll be looking more closely for vacuum leaks and maybe swapping out that TPS after all.
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of performance issue? Any tips about this or advice on what I should check next if the exhaust gaskets don't fix it? Thanks in advance!
