I stopped riding my 20 Road star warrior after a wreck on my buddy's bike last year, it wasn't even my Yamaha, I was helping him run some errands, took a corner too confident, hit gravel, and laid it down, man, I walked away sore but luck and since then my Warrior has just been sitting since, it's not broken, just neglected and I keep telling myself I'd get back on once I replaced the tires, or when I had more time, or once the weather cleared up.
Truth is, every time I open the garage, I look at it and feel that hesitation, that crash wasn't even on this bike, but somehow it shook my whole rhythm

Thinking of doing a full service this weekend, oil, battery, new rubber and maybe just start with some short rides around town, I miss the feel of it, but I've been stuck in my own head about it, how do I shake off the feeling and get back on track....literally

That kind of crash can mess with your head, even if it wasnt your bike. Totally normal to feel off. Giving your Warrior a fresh service and starting with short, easy rides is the right move. Don't overthink it, just get out there, take it slow and let the fun come back naturally. You got this.

Totally get where you're coming from. Maybe try a short ride in a quiet area, no pressure, just to feel the bike again. Some riders say taking a safety course or riding with a buddy helps rebuild confidence. Little wins can go a long way.
